Volunteer and Intern

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to fill box office and front of house roles during the festival

Dangerboy_Fire.jpgYou will need to commit to a minimum of eight shifts (most shifts are 1.5 - 4.5 hours from 4pm) on week night and weekends. You will need to be customer service focused, energised, flexible, responsible, and have a positive attitude. Previous theatre ticketing sales and front of house experience is NOT essential. A background in retail, customer service, cash handling and attention to detail are important; but positive attitude, professionalism and enthusiasm for the live experience are essential.

In acknowledgement of your contribution to the inaugural Fringe you will receive: 

 

  • The opportunity to receive tickets to the shows in your venue;
  • Plus a complimentary ticket to bring a friend along to enjoy it with;
  • A foxy Fringe T-shirt; and
  • An official Fringe Volunteer pass which entitles the cardholder to purchase a discounted $15 show ticket (one per show) for the Fringe curated program for the duration of the festival (door sales only - Friday and Saturdays excluded.)

On completion of your work with the festival, you will receive a certificate of attainment from The Sydney Fringe. If you are interested in a career in the live arts, we will forward your details and introduce you to Century Venues and other NEPA live performance venues for inclusion in their internship recruitment.
